He got caught. Rumour was that he had the blessings of some senior person in the management.
mvp That may have exonerated and protected him in the 90’s, but certainly not by today’s privacy laws.
It is the same all the time. In most offices, if you have a protection, you can get away with almost anything. They will pitch for compromise. ie, the bad actor would loose his job. In this case, even that didn’t happen.
