I’m interested in starting a discussion around AI. For a while now, we’ve seen this advance in terms of capabilities to alarming level - just take a look at “Atlas” below

My point here is that AI and Robotics are increasing at an alarming rate. How long will it be before the jobs we have are rendered obsolete ? Driving, deliveries, any anything else you can possibly think of will become automated in years to come. Progress is inevitable, but at what point do we render our own existence unnecessary before we realise that we’ve made a huge mistake ? Automation and AI can assist us with daily mundane tasks, and makes our overall environment safer (think robots designed to disarm IED’s for example), and those able to reach places where humans cannot without significant risk.
I don’t want to go all “Hollywood”, but what happens when machines decide we are the threat ?
